When Laurie was 10 years old her father retired from a 25-year naval career and moved the family to San Diego. Laurie had already lived in 5 states including Hawaii before it was a state, and the country of Formosa, now known as Taiwan. She married her high school sweetheart, John Carey, in 1976. Having lived in San Diego his entire life, he wanted to live in other parts of the country so they moved to Houston, the upper peninsula of Michigan and Utah before finally settling down to raise two kids in Camarillo, California. Laurie and John “retired” in 2013 and moved to Washoe Valley. Laurie has a degree in fine art from San Diego State University and has been an artist and graphic designer ever since. She has worked as a freelancer, in corporate marketing departments and now has an art glass company - Broken Glass Works. John and Laurie have 4 grandchildren, the oldest is in the Navy, one is a senior in college, one is a senior in high school and the baby is a freshman in high school.

Charlotte has been married to Paul Monte since 1986. They homeschooled three grown children, and have two grandchildren. She spent several years in administration for high tech & non-profits. Her favorite position was Executive Assistant at the Benjamin Rush Institute, an organization devoted to educating medical students about the pitfalls of socialized medicine and encroachments on medical liberty. She served for six years on the board of the Liberty Forum of Silicon Valley, a 501(c)3 that hosts nationally recognized conservative speakers in the Bay Area. In 2021, Paul and Charlotte decided it was time to leave their home of 30+ years, and they pray that our work to keep fiscal and cultural sanity in Nevada will keep us from going the way of California. 

Jennifer relocated to Northern Nevada from the bay area over 25 years ago and absolutely loves it here.  She is married to the love of her life. They have traveled together to over 140 countries and all 7 continents, and still think there is no place better than Northern Nevada.  Jennifer and her husband travel to the nations capital often and never miss a great Republican Presidential Inauguration.

Coleen was born in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, while her father served in the 101st Airborne. She was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area before moving to Incline Village, Nevada, in 1975. A graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, she earned degrees in education and educational psychology and counseling. Coleen worked for 26 years in the Washoe County School District, retiring in 2023. She has been married to Joey since 2000, and together they have six daughters, five grandchildren, and one more on the way.

Born and raised in California, Kris moved to Nevada in 1969. She began her career as a Nevada Bell Operator. She held various positions in Product Management, Information Technology, Wholesale Operations, Regulatory, community relations, and government affairs in her 45-year career at AT&T and retired in 2023.

Kris has served on numerous non-profit boards throughout her career at AT&T and continues to serve on the AT&T Silver State Board, the Reno Elks Charitable Fund and The Tahoe-Pyramid Trail Board of Directors. Kris has been a poll worker for Washoe County elections for many years.

Kris enjoys traveling, reading, and volunteering with her therapy dog, Fiona. Kris has one son and a four-year old grandson.

Joan is a third-generation Californian and received a degree from San Jose State University in Advertising & English. Formerly an IRS Agent (Office Auditor), owner of a tax preparation service, and Founder & CEO of Technames, Inc. (Alamo, CA). Technames serviced the executive search industry through its database of executives specializing in technology industries. The firm was closed in 2012 due to her retirement after 30 years. Joan with her husband of 47 years raised their two children at North Lake Tahoe. They returned to Northern CA (Alamo) after the children left for college.  After her husband's passing in 2012, she moved to the Rossmoor 55+ community in Walnut Creek, CA. There she was President of the Republican Club, President of the Classic Car Club  and Publicity Manager for the Niners Golf Club.  She relocated to Reno in 2020. Joan has been a lifelong Republican and joined the Mt. Rose Republican Women in 2020. Before accepting the Presidency, she was the Reservations and Membership Orientation Chair.

Came to Nevada by way of California and Massachusetts.  Was born in Connecticut, January 6, 1936.  Got a B.A. in Business Administration from Burdett College – and worked as a contract administrator for Sylvania for 8 years.  My husband and I moved to California in 1962 when the company asked us to transfer to Mountain View.  After a divorce, remarried Charles Masters and helped him start two computer companies in Silicon Valley.  Had 7 children between us and in the startup years we were in need of funding, so I got my real estate license and sold 71 houses the first year and 80 the second year to support the family and get the companies going . Also, assisted our son-in-law in building 90 houses In San Jose and Cupertino and, as the realtor, sold them for the family.   Was a member of the Sunnyvale Republican Women’s club and Vice President for four years. Worked on and donated to many campaigns while in California.    Also, a member of Ming Quong (a foundation to help needy children).   Was Vice President of Masters and Masters, LLC, and co-owner of Charsan Arabians – a ranch in Paso Robles, California.  Went to Australia with some of our horses as well as many showings in Scottsdale, Arizona. Worked on Pete Wilson’s campaign in California.  Was invited to a state dinner at the White House by Ronald Reagan. Was Executive Producer of film in Hollywood in 2000 with our daughter what was a producer.  Came to Nevada in 1991 and joined Incline Village Republican Women. Also, for 12 years was on the board of Desert Research Institute in Reno.  Started Mount Rose Republican Women in 2007 – have been President twice.  Was appointed by the Governor of Nevada in 2009 to the Employee Management Relations Board and am Vice Chair at the present time.  Got my master’s degree in business administration in 2014.  Have retained my Real Estate license and obtained an insurance license in 2018.  Am presently Chair of the Republican Women of Northern Nevada PAC – and Chair of the Communications Committee of MRRW.  Have 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
